This restaurant is located in the town center and is frequented mostly by locals. We were seated outside under an umbrella on a warm, sunny evening. Our waitress was warm and friendly and spoke very good English. We relaxed and enjoyed a very tasty prosecco aperitif. To start I had a caesar salad which was very good and my wife had a garden salad. For entrees I had the scottish salmon which was a bit overcooked but still good. We visited Ox for dinner on our last night in Interlaken. What a great town!!! Ox has a very nice open seating area and all the patrons were outside. Being an American the only negative I have to say is that the amount of cigarette smoke was a bit much but it really has nothing to directly with the restaurant. I had the Scottish Salmon which was delicious and my husband had a filet. Coming from Chicago we get a lot of good beef and he thought the meat was very flavorful and cooked perfectly. Great restaurant in the center of interlaken. It has a covered terrazzo but we ate inside because of the weather. Open kitchen let's you see what the chefs re doing and a nice winekabinet makes it possible to see the wines before you order. (They have a wine list too)Kids menu looks standard but is all fresh, so chicken nuggets are cut fillets in batter.Staff is very friendly, skilled and speak lots of languages. We enjoyed it so much we ate here twice in our two day stay in interlaken.If you want a great steak burger or t-bone go here.
Great meal! Can't complain about the food! Service was ok, not great!!! 30mins after we finished our starters I chased a waitress for an update only to be told - "if you didn't book you need to wait"!! Bearing in mind it's a only half busy - why the attitude ??

Had dinner with a friend while staying in Interlaken... Very good service with pleasant staff, good quality and well-prepared meals, but rather expensive compared to other restaurants in town. Go there as a treat, but be prepared for an expensive evening...
There is racism They took my order late on purpose, they weren't friendly, and I would have put up with it if the food was delicious, but it's the worst. This is my first review since coming to Europe.
