I visited with my family and we all bought main meals as well as pancakes. The server took us to our table then left, then returned and asked if we wanted drinks, then returned a third time to ask if we are ready to order. After the meals arrived the server only came back once to ask how the meals were. At the time I had not tried mine. I had a bite or two of my meal and ate no more because it was not good at all. We ran out of water half way through meals and no server came near us to ask for a refill or be offered a refill. The main meals were disgusting, nothing is fresh all pre made by the looks of it. Walked along beach for 8 kms from The Sheraton at Main Beach and were looking forward to breakfast at Pancakes on the rocks, Headed straight for the 'The Dawn' offering Bacon, Scrambled eggs and a Hash brown.The Bacon was fantastic the Scrambled eggs were enjoyable but the golden Hash Brown, which looked ever so appertising and tempting from the outside was extremely disappointing.Underneath that golden brown outer surface was an oil soaked pile of soggy potato, by the time I was half way through the rest of the meal there was an oily puddle oozing out from the hash brown.Brought the subject up with both the waitress and the check out attendant, they explained that was just the way the cooke...
Pancakes on the Rocks is always good for pancakes - favorite is the Devil's Delight which is chocolate pancakes. Having been to other locations, the service here was not as attentive as others, but it was okay. Main thing is that the food is generally pretty consistent between locations so you know what you are getting. Reasonable prices and quite a variety of pancakes, wraps, salads, etc for lunch. Generally there is something on the menu to please everyone.
The staff is friendly and the shop is clean. I ate the pancakes sprinkled with chocolate sauce and nuts. It was not too sweet. It was delicious because there were two women. Even though I ordered a small one, it was a lot.

This place was brilliant. Went in for dinner with the family. Everyone had good meals. Definitely not too expensive and our waiter was a top bloke who helped make the experience.
Visited last night after eating terrible Mexican food elsewhere. We had the strawberry pancakes and a regular stack. Yum they were light and fresh definitely would go again
The place was a bit difficult to find, but once we got there we were seated almost straight away. The coffee was amazing, and the food was pretty good too. Great bacon.
The pancakes are really of a surprising size. Much thicker than expected! It took a little longer than I expected, but it was within a reasonable time.
