During our stay at the Dorado Ritz, we visited Panela several times and absolutely loved it. The restaurant offers a diverse menu with a daily vegan option, which was perfect for me as a vegetarian. We were even able to bring our well-behaved dog, Moo, who knows many tricks. The staff was incredibly friendly, especially Manager Joel, who made us feel like VIP guests. We currently live in Puerto Rico but are not club members, so unfortunately we won't be able to return. Nonetheless, we highly recommend Panela as it is definitely worth a visit.
It had been a few years since we were in Zocalo, but it was as good as we remembered it to be. There were still some favorites on the menu, but also some new dishes, and they didn't disappoint. This is the only menu among many in Charlottesville that is really different and exciting. I had the duck breast cooked perfectly and accompanied by a great sauce, braised chard and an onion manchego bread pudding, and my wife loved her salmon. My starter, the tuna tartar, was too heavenly and had a healthy kick. Highly recommended!
We have eaten here many times. Salmon is always great and so is the tuna tartare. The smoky groats and the cous cous are divine! They used to have delicious rolls that they served with olive oil. I was sad to see that they no longer offered them.

Wonderful scallops and our salmon selection was cooked to perfection. Sat outside, which was comfortable and the waiter was attentive.
Concierge at Waldorf recommended for lunch I was a bit enthusiastic as it was so close, assuming it would be touristy.
