My boyfriend and I were looking for somewhere good for breakfast. I have lived and or grew up in the Catonsville area for most of my life. I suggested we go to paradise cafe, since I haven’t been in since Covid. We went in and there were two gentlemen at the counter and one man on the flattop. No big deal. I went here for breakfast not too long ago and ordered the French toast with a side of turkey bacon. The quality of the food and service were both good. They didn't have much business that day so there was only one person working, but he greeted me warmly and cooked my food quickly. When I bit into the French toast I felt like it was buttering the inside of my mouth. I am only taking one star off since there were some boxes and what looked like recycling piled up in the back. Not that it was a huge problem, but it could have been kept cleaner. Ask in all this is definitely a place you want to keep in mind for breakfast.
I don't know what happened to this place. I'm guessing it starts with horrible mismanagement. Saw all the good reviews and decided to head there with three other friends. Walked in wasn't greeted, sat at a sticky counter, and then was akwardly told that they're only offering carry out while the restaurant was set for dinning in. After sorting the reviews by most recent I kind of take it as a blessing in disguise. I'll never be back. When four hungry guys show up and you turn them away we ended up eating at Iron Age and spent over $150.
The food was decent, but I was a bit concerned because the menus were worn and appeared dirty—greasy, even. The young waiter who served us was friendly, but at least one of the male customers was playing his radio loudly with someone telling jokes that sounded reminiscent of Rush Limbaugh, which was off-putting. Overall, the cleanliness was questionable for me, and I'm not overly particular about that kind of thing. Additionally, the place just felt very old—not in a charming way, but rather in a way that made it seem run-down.

The menue needs to be updated and their website needs to update their operating hours. I went there a couple months ago for lunch and I had to keep changing my order because they didn't have everything on their menue. I decided to give them another shot and get a breakfast platter. they're not open at 9 like their website says.so I waited until 10. The eggs and bacon were good but the home fries were terrible. Absolutely terrible… I can't even describe how bad it was. I ordered two scrambled eggs, bacon, and an English muffin with butter. The bacon was decent, though slightly undercooked. However, I wouldn't go near those brown, flat, rubbery eggs even if my life depended on it, and that tiny amount of what they call butter was just disgusting. Well, I guess I found a word after all.
I'm not sure how this restaurant is still operating. It desperately needs a thorough cleaning. The breakfast I had was just okay. I ordered a Pepper Jack omelet but received one made with American cheese instead. The home fries were just plain potatoes, lacking any onion or seasoning. I genuinely wanted to support a local establishment, but I won't be returning.
If I can rate this 0 stars I would. Absolutely terrible customer service came with a family of 6 and at a time where it was busy. There was someone just sitting in the back staring and not giving any sort of info. Very sad was expecting a nice meal.

I come here often during my breaks at work, or sometimes even on offdays. The food is always good, and cooked at a very prompt speed. And the service is A-1. the staff is always quite friendly. 10/10
