Really good, freshly made pasta with tasty dishes served up in large portions. A small is plenty big for most people, and a large would mean a lot of leftovers for most people. A small order of garlic bread satisfied 4 of us. The vinaigrette is light and tasty, and the salads are fresh green lettuce (not just basic iceberg). Even if you don 't have room for dessert, take some home. The carrot cake, the canolis, and triple layer chocolate cake are very good. I 'm not a dessert fan, but I got the carrot cake and it 's easily the best I 've ever had. Service was great and prices are quite reasonable. The place is cozy not upscale, but fun would be fitting.
The food was very small portions for the price. The difference between the large and small spaghetti and meatballs, was an individual meatball. The small had one, large two. The lobster ravioli tasted like nothing and was incredibly thick. It came with four smaller raviolis for $20 (said $17 on the menu). We got an appetizer of mushrooms. It came with six of them and a random huge ball of foil inside. Ok? Maybe it was because it was takeout, but this place isn't it.
I discovered Paul's when I was stationed in Groton 20 years ago, and now it's a favorite stop whenever I'm in town. Got to sit outside on the deck and enjoy a beautiful spring evening on the water, food was great, and the service was good.
THE BEST lobster ravioli on the planet. I've been up and down the East Coast and this is the best (I prefer Alfredo sauce personally). Been coming for 30 years.

Very good food. People are friendly. Pasta is homemade. So is the sauce. I got the spaghetti pie. Out of this world.
It was a quaint little hole in the wall. Food was good. Portions were good. Definitely would eat here again.
Visited from Pittsburgh PA today. It was PHENOMENAL! Best fettuccine Alfredo I ever had.
