I visited this restaurant for the first time today, and I want to emphasize that you shouldn't let the setup deter you. I wasn't expecting to order at the counter and then find a seat, which isn't usually my preferred dining style. However, the staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I ordered the Pulled Pork Migas with an added half avocado, and it was absolutely delicious. I tend to be quite critical when dining out, but I genuinely loved this dish. The quality of the food here has gone down over the last few years and the prices have gone up. You also get quite a bit less now than used too. I just spent $30 on something that would have cost me less than 20 had I gone to Ferndale for breakfast, worst part was it wasn't even good. They forgot to give me my mocha, they gave me a mocha cup that was full of gravy and didn't warn me that it had gravy in it, so when I got in my car and took a drink it was pure gravy, not coffee! So, I had to turn around and go back to get my mocha and when they finally did get it to me, it wasn't the sugar-free mocha that I ordered so I had to throw that away. The biscuits and gravy here are among the best I've ever tasted. The flavors of sage and thyme in the dish were outstanding. I also tried the strawberry and blueberry French toast and the classic eggs Benedict, both of which were equally fantastic. Chef Dougie came out to thank us for dining there, and we had a lovely conversation with him about his experience as a chef in Whatcom County. If you're looking for delicious food in a casual setting, I highly recommend this place.
I have always been a fan of this place. I love the building, the staff is great and I'm a big fan of their food. Just went for dinner the first time since they started dinner service. I had French Onion soup. I am a snob when it comes to this. I have not enjoyed a bowl since the old seaside bakery close ages ago. Nobody ever makes it right. This was amazing!!!! Everything my group ordered was not only beautifully presented, but it was delicious. We were all very pleased!

So glad to see you stretch out for dinner! We have been enjoying breakfast here now dinner!! We had the Spinach Mushroom Linguinie the fish tacos… enjoyed a nice bottle of wine and the service was very pleasant and friendly!!! Great to see that you are supporting local farmers and brewery’s, too! Will definitely be back to try some of the other menu items… have my eye on a few things!
For international travelers, this is the perfect place. The cooking is sincere, the food is delicious, and the prices are reasonable. Plus, the staff is very friendly. It's a fantastic way to kick off your trip to Trader Joe's and Costco.
Good food and friendly staff! We have been eating here at least once a week for years now and always enjoy what we order. Lots of choices for all. From breakfast to dinner, you're sure to find something to make your tastebuds happy!
Nice surprise at a small town. Good food and especially my picky daughters love their food too. Reasonable price and I like the view cleanliness of the dinning area and restroom. Will come back again.
