Peasant Cookery - Table reservation

We chose to eat on the bar side when we got there. It had seemed to have cozier feel to it. Waiter was friendly and then the bartender came over to say hi and help us make choices: Dry ribs, onion soup, and an amazing chicken entree with a nice dry Chardonnay from USA. In the end we enjoyed the food, the service and the atmosphere. Last time we were there on the restaurant side it was a so-so experience. This reminded us why we like this place. We'll stick to the bar side from now on.

This place has been around for a while and I've visited several times. The food is generally good. I don't like the Berkshire pork, but the rest of the menu is pretty good. Especially the half chicken entree. They used to have this deconstructed cheesecake dessert that was to die for but they don't seem to offer that anymore. Wish they would bring it back! Also, they have a nice small patio outside in the warmer months.

I ordered a cocktail and was told after about 10 minutes they didn't have all the ingredients I looked for an alternative and was recommended to have a cosmopolitan Our mussels and fries came a very small portion and my cocktail was still not served The chicken dinner we shared was nice a bit salty but quite good All in all nice but would have been better if cocktail was available and alternative served on time
