I went to Perennial on Friday night for a friend’s birthday and had a wonderful experience. Our waitress Angie was great. She guided us through the menu and made helpful suggestions. We started with the parker rolls, the charred corn, the chickpea fries, and the Brussels sprouts. They are hands down the best Brussels sprouts I have ever had and we couldn’t help but order a “refill.” I would suggest going to Perennial while corn is still in season because the corn dish made with cotija cheese and ancho should not be missed. I never had chickpea fries before and couldn’t believe how good they were. I ordered the eggplant dish which is vegan for my entree and I absolutely loved it. It is rare t...

Contemporary minimalist surrounding...but a friendly, on point serve staff. Our waiter, Jason, was polished, attentive and informed. We were able to enjoy each course in a relaxed fashion. While we could have opted for happy hour pricing for our cocktails, we chose sitting at the dining tables and ordered excellent cosmos and a super dry martini. We began with the Parker House rolls...delicious and light. Proceeded to the appetizers: cold roasted carrots and Spanish octopus. Both outstanding. Flavors beautifully layered and composed. The octopus, number one in my travels, was beautifully charred and orchestrated. We shared an order of duck ragu maccheroni...delicious, with what I believe wer...
This was our first visit to Perennial after reading a review in a local paper. We went for an anniversary celebration on a Wednesday evening. My first thought upon arrival was that the ambiance was somewhat lacking and there was literally only one other couple in the restaurant. (No one showed up after that either. The food itself was excellent and our waiter was attentive and explained everything thoroughly. The wine was local and good, and the beer options on tap were impressive. Having said that, the music was quite loud and strangely inappropriate for the setting. (I'm not sure their target audience wants to sit in a dining room with Rob Base and Bell Biv DeVoe playing quite loudly. This...
This restaurant was a bit difficult to find. Google Maps did not take us all the way there. Restaurant has a strange, unpleasant mood. Hosts and owners were not very friendly or welcoming. We sat at the bar for dinner. Very small menu. There is also a small discounted happy hour menu. Corn bread was fine, nothing special. Grilled octopus was tasteful, but hard. Sliders are delicious, but tiny. We shared the sea mussels with shaved fennel. Again, good, but not great. Small uninspiring wine selection. Unfortunately, I don't think this place can do it. Everything was so well done, the cocktails delicious, the food fantastic, the service amazing, and so nice to hear your table mats without screaming. I'm glad to go back soon!
The food was absolutely outstanding. This is a hidden secret. It is a must try! We had everything appetizer and one was better than the next!! Please go!
Short ever changing menu of modern American fare. Good cocktails and great, reasonable $50-100) expensive wines on their list. Book a table now
