Went to Pete's Egg Nest for an early Mother's Day breakfast. PEN is a cute little restaurant that sits along Greenwood Avenue. Parking can be difficult, but if you go early enough, you won't have a problem. We arrived around 8:30am and the restaurant was only about half full. It took a little bit of time to get our order submitted, which was a little puzzling because the restaurant was only half full, but we were willing to wait it out since the food was supposed to be fantastic. The restaurant filled up in the 20-30 minutes that we waited for our food, plus there were quite a few food pickups. I say all that to say that the key is getting to the restaurant early! The food was delicious. The...

Huge. Delish. Will be back!. Believe the good reviews! We did, and we were not disappointed. We have been searching for a breakfast place that 's a cut above the rest without paying $20 for a fancy omelette that is only 'fancy ' because someone put a caper and a sun dried tomato on it. This is it! HUGE portions and a fast selection of basics like eggs and pancakes, to multiple versions of eggs Benedict, to interesting specials such as a Greek gyro pesto scramble and a chicken apple sausage, Gorgonzola, roster red pepper and spinach omelette. Prices are very affordable for the portion size, with each massive plate needing a take home box but costing only $9.95. Nice service and personable wel...
Eat Well For Cheap. We recently ate at Beth's up the street for the first time and were surprised what a $20 bill will get you for two people and how good it can be....we were equally amazed by Pete's. Food was warm, large portioned and tasted extremely good. I have to say the coffee was not very good though, I've had better instant in my life....for Seattle they should upgrade to the big boy beans. Anyhow, we will be back soon!!
The food was tasty, but the portion sizes were quite small for a brunch spot. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. The staff didn't take our order correctly and then reprimanded us for not being clear. To make matters worse, different servers kept coming by every few minutes, asking questions about our order, which only added to the confusion. Book a table now
Very busy population on the weekend. plan to wait some since the place is tiny.also very noisy inside so speak up and if you want to split the bill then let your server know.there are tons of omelette s which looked ginormous,I just had tomato juice and the basic breakfast of waffles, egg and bacon(or sauceage)
This diner is a local gem that will keep you returning for more. The portions are generous, and the coffee is bottomless, all served with thoughtful presentation and a variety of options. It's truly an elevated diner experience. I’m already looking forward to my next visit! Food: 5/5
Good Food, Great Service. I'd give this place 4 stars, the service is friendly and you can tell they care about their food and restaraunt. The food is above average and portions are outstanding for the price. We definitely will recommend this place to our friends (and come back).
The serving sizes were generous and the flavors of the dishes were excellent. It was evident that the focus of this restaurant was on the quality of the food rather than the fancy decor (seems to be a common theme in Seattle, doesn't it?). Book a table now
I recommend trying the French toast and pancakes at this restaurant. The sandwiches also seemed appealing. There were plenty of choices available. Despite the disappointing poached eggs, I would be willing to give this place another try.
The good thing about Pete’s bacon though is that they ask you how you want it cooked.
