I arrived at the restaurant on Thursday at noon and found it to be moderately crowded. The waitress was friendly and polite, taking my order promptly.\n\nI ordered a Thai Milk Tea which was served in a fancy glass bottle, a pleasant surprise. Initially, it was too sweet for my liking, but as the ice melted and I drank it with my meal, the sweetness was more balanced.\n\nThe main dish I ordered was the roast duck laksa, which was beautifully presented. The laksa sauce came in a teapot, adding an interesting touch. The lemongrass-flavored gravy was flavorful but quite rich, especially after removing the beansprouts I didn't care for. Pickles (possibly onions) helped cut through the richness.\n...

Amazing location and the restaurants has a lovely vibe. We went there on a Sunday for lunch. Was greeted by the lovely steff. We ordered the seafood kung tung and the chicken pad see ew. The seafood came and unfortunately the pipis didn't open. Steff quickly took it away and returned with fully opened pipis. What could have been a bad experience turned into a memorable experience. Our girls demolished the the pad see ew and said it was one of the best they have had. Hubby has become a regular here. Brought work people for lunch. Ideal location. Their beer towers are epic.
I’m quite certain that the design, the decoration and the best combination between Thai traditional and Thai modern. I do believe everyone will be experienced in Thai culture without travelling to Thailand or going to the kitchen. They intentionally design not only the stunning environment but also the fantastic foods that you can be experienced such as D.I.Y. Somtom Thai milk tea Laksa, most of which can make by yourself. Apart from that, there is a KUNG-TUNG which is trendy Thai street food at the moment.
we got 2 pad thais, one with chicken one with prawn. noodles could be cooked longer but taste was there! lots of raw beansprouts on top. got the soft shell crab with pumpkin and rice. it was well cooked and the sauce was really nice. really good! crispy chicken green curry w rice was a bit too creamy and not that great. they were super generous with the chicken though. got the duck spring rolls too which came out piping hot and good. the chilli to accompany it was nice. Definitely not your normal Thai food! Enjoyed the crispy fried pork fried rice, but the soft shell crab curry and pumpkin I think the soft shell was a bit off? Smelt a bit odd. The Mi Krob was tad too sweet for my liking. Probably prefer a bit more lighting and the place echos really badly! 3/5 food, add a star for the fancy place and menu.
We recently ate at the newly opened authentic Thai restaurant in the Brisbane Quarter precinct. The owners of Phat Elephant and Chai Thai have succeeded once again. We absolutely loved the restaurant and the variety of menu options. The prices were very reasonable and the food was fantastic, complemented by excellent customer service.
I must say, the food was absolutely delicious, but if you do not have a taste for sweet and savory dishes, be cautious! I ordered the roasted duck laksa noodle and it tasted more like a dessert than a main dish.
We absolutely loved celebrating my colleagues birthday here..the team was lovely they decorate the table with balloons saying happy birthday. The table was well setup. Thankyou team.. really appreciate it Book a table now
Great atmosphere and fantastic food. The service was very quick and the food was very tasty. Some of the best Thai food that we have had in Brisbane. We will definitely be back next time we are in town.
