The noodles on the picture are CLEARLY boiled and cooked… Mine came crunchy and stale. Like what is that. Northwoods Inn Covina has always been our go to restaurant to celebrate special occasions. We were at a venue near the La Mirada location so chose to go there to celebrate a graduation. We were disappointed!!! The only reason rated our experience as a 3 is because of the service!! We were a party of 10 and got seated within minutes. Which we were pleasantly surprised! One of our party ordered a New York steak medium rare. It was raw in the middle. He had to send it back. My baked potato was barely warm. It did not even start to melt some of the cheese butter. I really hate to go against the crowd here. But while the service was excellent and the interior was lovely and somewhat exquisite, I found the food to be bland. I thought the egg rolls were so bland—they were crispy though. Meanwhile, the pho while decent missed the rich depth of pho flavor I’m used to elsewhere. On the flip side, this restaurant is so generous with the amount of beef they include into the pho itself. Overall, I was so disappointed as pho is my comfort food. Given how well reviewed this restaurant is, it is possible that what was served to me is outside the norm or a bad batch. I might revisit this again to give it a try.
I love the fireplace living room area which has the Xmas tree displayed right now during the holiday season. I would love to hang out here and watch a movie with it's rustic cabin ambiance. This will be the last time I order anything other that the Shredded Red Cabbage, Iceberg Lettuce Salad, garlic bread, and a huge baked potato. This Sunday evening I ordered the sirloin burger with steak fries on the side, never again. The food might have looked fantastic but the quality and taste was subpar and a disappointment. Our server was great and very nice.

I have been going here for years and they deserve a great review. My go-to order is a large rare steak pho. The soup is so tasty and the meat is always tender. The service and staff are incredibly nice and efficient even when busy. Everytime I come here I always make sure to tip well. The price is also very affordable for what you're getting here. All of that easily adds up to a five star restaurant.
I highly recommend this location. Staff is welcoming, not very attentive, but it's okay. Food was above and beyond delicious give this establishment a try if your in the area
