We ordered a dish called Banh cuon, and it was served in a terrible state. There was a slimy texture likely from a meat can, the lettuce was old, and the sauce was overwhelmingly acidic. The rice crepes were overly sticky and lacked any pork filling. We know what Banh cuon is supposed to look and taste like because we’ve enjoyed it many times before; a quick Google search will show you the difference. Worst vietnamese I've ever had. Had a fried roll appetizer (27) that was so burnt that the wrapper was half gone from most of them. The pho (1) was terrible, the broth tasted like hot water with a beef bouillon cube. The rolls came out 5 minutes before the soup, so the soup was cold by the time I got to it. The service matched the food, with the owner sitting in the dining room listening to screaming children on his phone at full volume and not refilling water until flagged down. We ordered takeout and tried the #11 (Pho) and #70 (pork chop over rice), both of which were absolutely delicious! The spring rolls were tasty too! The staff was friendly during pickup, and the atmosphere was pleasant, with plenty of locals dining there. Overall, it's a fantastic place if you're in the mood for Vietnamese cuisine, and the portion sizes were excellent as well!
