Don't expect a good meal in this restaurant. There are no tablecloths, just some cipher and a spoon on the table with a napkin, a plastic cup and a thermos made of green tea, but the menu is quite extensive and as soon as you get the food is delivered quickly. This restaurant is designed to allow people to get in and out quickly. There is no real atmosphere, but the food is OK. With friends at lunchtime and it was very busy coming with people and all the time we were there. Look at her Mongolian beef, it was brilliant and we had a chicken dish that was excellent, but the rest of the meal was slightly above average. It is fast, easy and valuable packed.
Mostly good value and delicious food, but a dish of boneless chicken with ginger soy sauce tasted terrible. It tastes like someone used a bubble torch to make a smoky taste, but it ended like the gas from the torch.... The kids said it tastes like soap. We love Vietnamese food and the dish looked delicious, but none of us could get the strange "gas" taste.
Pho Sam is standard Vietnamese resto. Location is good near the train station. Serving size or portion is small. Price is almost same most Vietnamese resto. Quick in serving your order. No fancy food presentation very basic. Customer service is not bad. Place...is clean, and can get busy. They also have a Chinese resto upstairs.
Don't let Spartan decorate you... the food is fantastic. A beautiful combination of Vietnamese and Chinese brings a fantastic essence of taste and smell to the palate. Really great value as a bonus!
