This was a special meal for our anniversary and I'm so glad we found this place. The atmosphere and ambience is sublime, the music relaxing and pleasant, the service was super friendly and relaxed but efficient, and the food. Wow. My husband, who often responds with Good or Nice when asked how his meal was, used terms like Outstanding and Delicious, which in itself should be a testiment to the quality. Every course was spot on and gave you a satisfied pleasant feeling at the end of 3 courses, not stuffed and regretful! Cannot recommend the blueberry panacotta enough. This place is an absolute must if you're in the area and have something to celebrate or just want a divine meal in super chill...
Fabulous tapas on the courtyard overlooking the rural Essex countryside. Everything was first class from the food and service to the beautiful courtyard. We started with glasses of champagne whilst we perused the menu. We shared four small dishes of beef stroganoff arancini, prawns on salsa, charcuterie board and pork cheek nuggets accompanied by two sides of Mediterranean salad and trips with truffle and Parmesan. If you are looking for fantastic food with first class service and beautiful surroundings then look no further than Pig Whistle Chelmsford.
Lovely food and decor, the service is so so, if you ask for bread, you have to ask 3 times. The ‘artisan’ crackers were missing from the cheese board to start and when they turned up, they’re clearly not artisan. Servers don’t realise they need to get rid of empty bottles from the table
My experience at the Pig Whistle was wonderful . The food was amazing and the owner was funny and charming . This was a perfect place for a catch up with my girlfriends . We will definitely be back ! :
