Poor service yet again. Third time lucky- turns out this is not so. I thought I’d give it another chance after last times poor service and I wish I hadn’t. I was ignored at the door for five minutes while a waitress chatted to a customer who was clearly also her friend about how annoying she finds parking in the staff section. I ended up interrupting these chat so I could get seated wit my toddler. I want to note that the waitstaff at this restaurant are very pleasant, though they seem to be extremely busy. They were able to resolve an issue with a discount. We came here for a family meal and the restaurant was very busy, as expected on a Saturday afternoon. Unfortunately, there were some issues with the food service. Some of us received our starters while others had to wait, and the same happened with our main courses. It got worse when a lasagne came out cold and had to be sent back. The Girlfriend and I visited on our 4 year anniversary yesterday (5th May 2023) and we were both thoroughly impressed! To start off with, we both shared the “Dough Balls Doppio” and they were extremely tasty. I then had the “Romana Pollo ad Astra” which tasted gorgeous and it’s very rare I finish a full pizza! Greeting was very nice, table was ready. Young and who took our order was extremely polite and attentive. Drinks came quick, the starters came for 2 of us and we had finished before the 3rd starter was even ready. We asked a blonde lady with short hair and she said she doesn't know why it's not here. Can't tell you how disappointed we were; there was always something special about Pizza Express they were never the cheapest, but the food was always really good. My Romana Padana well, the toppings were spread so thinly, cheese cut into such tiny pieces it might as well have not been there all I could taste was the bread base! This was always my go to pizza tasty, creamy, delicious; never again and £16? With £3.55 for a bottle of Coke?? Sorry, you're having a laugh selling a third rate product at premium prices. When my son comes over from the USA he always INSISTS on going to Pizza Express he loves it, but next time he'll go without me. Poor poor poor!
Food was OK, although I struggled to find any mince in the lasagna. However having booked over a month ago for a family birthday we were disappointed to be sat at a table that was basically part of the waiting area for just eat and collections etc. For most of our meal we had several delivery drivers surrounding us watching us eat which was extremely uncomfortable. Queried this with a waitress who made a joke of it they will stare more if you order dessert . Overall an unpleasant and uncomfortable experience.
The chilli prawns starter is an absolute joke! 3 tiny rubber prawns under a mountain of tomatoes was not worth the money. My pizza was so thin that was burnt in the centre, so had a big hole in it. The bread sticks were burned, and the service was laughable. The halloumi bites were soggy and far to salty. Not worth the money
I absolutely adored the service at this restaurant! After a long time, we finally received exceptional care from our waitress. She was incredibly friendly and professional. Even though I didn't catch her name, she had red hair and truly brightened my day. I hope she is well appreciated at the restaurant.

Staff were polite and kind during a busy lunch service. Foot came out in a timely manner and was very nice. Mixture of Pizzas between the table with no leftovers.
Great good but was a shame mine was over done The Desert tasted like it had no sugar and the drink was delightful and helped wash everything down
