Placed a takeaway order for delivery at on a Wednesday evening. We were given a delivery window between Absolutely fine. When the delivery window had come and gone, we checked the tracking noted it was now delivery....Bit annoying, but still okay. When the delivery time kept changing, and got beyond we tried to cancel because we were up for work early and needed to go to bed. Couldn't cancel because no one at the restaurant answered the phone there's no method as a customer, to contact deliveroo about a specific order! Left messages at pizza express branch, but nothing. It is now gone midnight (yep, we're hungry! and our projected delivery time is half past midnight... , with a lovely little...
Came here for a quick bite to eat. Usually go to Ask if we are looking for something quick but as we were in Witney we thought we would give Pizza Express a try. Service was average, no check back, offer of pepper/cheese etc as...you find in Ask. Starters were OK, king prawns in garlic were seemingly nothing more than pre cooked normal size peeled prawns. Pizza was terrible, really oily, everso slightly crispy on the edge, really soggy and almost undercooked elsewhere... Almost tasted like a frozen pizza. Thrown whole on a plate with no pizza cutter etc. Accompanying pasta dish was equally poor and fairly bland. Fair to say won't be back
we have annoyed many good family meals in pizza express. in london, oxford and all over the country. but rarely in witney, and only if the place is close to empty. the service was again hard at a recent visit, with two errors in our order and. a very late starter. the staff seemed more interested in avoiding responsibility than to fix things and the main court pizza were soggy. witney urgently needs better management and better trained staff. I know how well these places can run, with many working meals in their beach restaurant, that was sharp and fast. PE management must make the Witney One a scratch.

you can't go wrong with pizza express, they get it right every time. we went to a cold early evening in the february and they had a personal shortage due to kovid. but they stood right in front and explained that there might be a wait. that's all they want! As long as they know, they can stay a choice or go. we stayed and had a cozy wine while we waited. it was so long to wait in any case, but we were noticeable that we were told. the service was beautiful and as always a great pizza. especially great when they have vegans in their party, as they now have many options.
Pizza Express has been in witney for several years, that was our visit and we were not disappointed. the staff was friendly and helpful eating was fresh and tasty. they have made a pizza for one of us and a calzone without cheese. for me. the calamari was super, like all the other dishes. Thank you.
Shocking service. Waiting staff seemed to be floating around in a daze, walked past our table seven times and don’t clear empty plates. Had to ask for things numerous times, food took ages. Excuse given was that it’s busy. It’s a restaurant and it’s Saturday...night for Christ’s sake! Terrible.
My son and I came for a meal. I had the aubergine melanzane and it was terrible. When I sent it back I was made to feel like I was causing an inconvenience. The manager was unsympathetic and my meal out with my son, which...should have been a really enjoyable (and rare) occurrence was ruined.

Unwelcoming rude staff. Waitress was very unfriendly and rude. Luckily my young children didn't pick up on this and had a lovely time. Staff really let the place down. Will not be visiting again. Such a shame as my husband and I were really...looking forward to this.
There is a good standard of food at all the Pizza Express. What made this one exceptional was the wonderful , friendly and efficient service. Nothing too much trouble.
