We were in the area and decided to stop at this restaurant for a meal. The restaurant was very quiet with only a couple of tables occupied. Upon entering, all the staff were gathered together and gave us a strange look, with one employee staring at us in an unfriendly manner. We were seated at a table and ordered drinks and food, including the 'Duo Romana' pizza with 'Padana' on one half and 'Sloppy Giuseppe' on the other half. The pizza took longer to arrive than expected for a nearly empty restaurant. Unfortunately, the pizza did not meet the standards we have come to expect from this chain, being thinner than a crepe and soggy, making it difficult to eat. The other dishes we ordered were...

Usually dine in at the Pizza Express at Lytham (which never fails) and this time decided to try out your Preston restaurant which from stepping through the door was disappointing. Staff didn’t know where our reservation was despite calling to confirm the same. Staff were stood chatting in the corner instead of taking our order. Dough balls arrived burnt underneath and merged together as per photos. Had to have pizza swapped as cheese was randomly splodged on and other parts left with just tomato. Second pizza arrived more of an oblong shape. Doesn’t appear they care about presentation as much as they should. Can’t see ourselves returning.
It 's been 6 years since we have been to Pizza Express. We were regulars before the whole lockdown happened. After talking about it we decided to head up as we were big fans pre lockdown. Overall? It was ok We usually always had the leggera Padana so chose to re-live past visits and ordered these. Well, the portions have shrunk a fair bit, they are way more frugal with the toppings and the salad used to be mixed salad, it is now just leaves and sauce. Sadly our last visit I think, it 's not worth the price increase for a reduced product.
We went to Pizza Express to celebrate my daughter's 12th birthday as a family of four. We have visited Pizza Express quite frequently, including this location, but this time the food quality was exceptional. Everything was delicious and fresh, served piping hot and tasted amazing. I ordered my usual Calabrese pizza and also tried the new Nduja Dough Balls, which were great. Our waitress was lovely, although we didn't catch her name. Overall, we had a great family meal, thanks to the excellent food and service. Book a table now
This restaurant is located in the heart of the city, making it perfect for those looking for a tasty yet affordable meal. The food is much better than what you would find at most casual dining establishments, making it a great option for both casual and more dressed-up occasions. It is also a good choice for those looking to enjoy a night out without having to dress up for the club.
Had the misfortune to go here tonight with the kids! The food was over priced slop! The manager needs to read the “manager manual” and understand customer service! The lady who served us didn’t listen to us and our order and messed up not just the starters but the mains too, kid got there meal after had finished our mains!
Making use of the offer of £8.95 for a classic pizza and the offer from a previous visit of free doughballs. Had the vegan Gardiera and 2 glasses of vegan wine, followed by the vegan ginger cake. I couldn't have eaten any more. Friendly staff, okay for dining alone, nice atmosphere.
Pizza Express in Preston, located on Winckley Street, is tucked away on a side street in the city center. Despite its hidden location, it is a lovely branch with stylish decor. Book a table now
I have had a mixed experience with my local Pizza Express in the past, but after the recent beautiful renovation, we decided to give it another try.
