We were at Christmas market in Esslingen and were looking for a place where the four of us could stop off. La Gondola still had room for us after we were turned away at 4 other restaurants. How happy we are to have got a place there A real original Italian where you think grandma is in the kitchen and has been preparing dishes for decades. By chance we ended up at ristorante La Gondola last Saturday. Although it was very full, they were still able to assign us two seats. We were pretty hungry after a long journey and happy to have found this little restaurant. Our food was super tasty and the salad was crispy and fresh. Classic as we like it. The green tagliatelle with ham, peas and mushrooms plus rigatoni al forno were served hot. We really enjoyed both dishes
If you miss your Italian nonna's cooking, then you're in the right place. A huge menu full with hearty authentic Italian dishes. The pasta dishes are the best. You gotta try them all.
