We have visited Banff more than 6 times and were excited to visit the tea house after our hike. Unfortunately, our experience at the tea house was disappointing this year. No indoor seating was allowed, so we had to sit outside in 40-degree sunny weather. The hummus was too chunky and sharp, and the chili was overly spicy. Unlike our previous visits where we were served tea pots, this time we only received hot tea in paper cups. The prices were quite high - a hummus sandwich, vegetarian chili, chocolate cake, and 2 hot teas totaled $48 Canadian dollars. It may be better for the tea house to consider preparing some items off-site and transporting them in to improve quality. Despite these issu...

We had read from the two teahouses to which you can hike when you visit Lake Louise and decided to go further and to this what is further out. What a unique experience! We had read, they only take cash, but when we were there, we saw the bullets pay with credit cards. We enjoyed our soups and coffee drinks and simply in the atmosphere. At one point, one of the managers came out and gave a lecture about the teahouse and how they work. Definitely a unique experience visiting Lake Louise.

That was what kept us on our hike and knew that there was a teahouse in the end. It is a beautiful, rustic building with a selection of teas, coffee, hot chocolate and water (not chilled because they have no electricity! The hot chocolate is delicious and the food is all homemade, it is a limited menu with a selection of 3 sandwiches, soup, a hot dish, tea biscuits with jam and cake. A great experience!

Well worth the beautiful hike to this teahouse! It seems to be a gentler walk than St Agnes Teehaus. We sat outside as warm enough in September. Delicious cake and hot chocolate served by a very personable young man! There are compost toilets nearby. I would recommend going to the viewpoint first, then reward yourself with a big cake! Look out for the chip monks!!!
