Majestic landscape, delicious food. La Plaine Morte is a glacier you can access from the Violettes station in Crans-Montana. As it's 3000 meters high, weather conditions can quickly change (so beware, it can be dangerous! , but when the sun shines, oh my! What a place to be! The view is stunning. We took a two hour walk on the rocky mountains and rewarded ourselves with a delicious fondue. The restaurant offers the best of mountain food: croûte au fromage, viande séchée and the unmissable cheese fondue, which this restaurant does beautifully.
I had an amazing experience here, the food was great, the servers were so kind and of course the view made it all better. I would recommend this place a thousand times over, Cristine was fabulous and made our lunch unforgettable.
Worst lasagne ever, and the staff is Italian. Ultra over cooked mushy pasta, terrible tomato sauce impossible to digest even when I ate half of it. Shame.
