Yesterday, we went to this pub to check it out. It was a bit strange - the bartender didn't even know where the glasses were and told us they only had bottled beer due to pump problems. They also asked for cash only, which was fine. We booked a meal for the next evening and brought cash just in case. However, we received a phone call a few hours before our reservation saying they could only offer starters and curries due to a gas issue. We agreed to this, as we didn't have any food with us in our touring caravan nearby and it was our last night. But then, we got another call half an hour later saying they couldn't offer any food at all because the kitchen was unusable. We will never go back...
Fantastic Thai food, in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. This place is a perfect mix of charming rural pub and Thai restaurant.. the staff are not the fastest at serving behind the bar, but while you wait you'll almost certainly be engaged in friendly conversation with others, or random insults from the old guy in the corner (like in father Ted) The food is excellent, and good value, there's a gated beer garden and children's play area, it's dog friendly.. what more could you want?
We noticed that our neighborhood pub had been taken over by new owners and was now serving Thai cuisine, so we decided to give it a try. We can confidently say that we won't be cooking at home again after our experience there. It was absolutely amazing! A group of 10 of us arrived close to closing time, but the staff graciously accommodated us. The food was outstanding, and the service was top-notch. We were extremely impressed!
It's really great to see this place open again under new management and fantastic to have Thai food available! It's still a pub and has a well stocked bar with three real ales on pump and two ciders. The Thai food was excellent and good value. The staff were friendly and chatty, still settling into their roles, but the atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. Overall a positive experience and we shall certainly go back.

This old atmospheric pub adjacent to the Castlemorton Common is now calling itself Goldeng Restaurant and Bar and serving a good selection of ales etc and Thai meals exclusively. The food and service was excelle. A takeaway service is also provided. We width them well.
It is lovely to see the place open again . We visited tonight to try the Thai food and were very pleased we did. The meals were delicious. Good portion sizes, very fresh and tasty. Good value too. Beautiful spot for eat in but they also do take away. We will be back.
The food and atmosphere at this restaurant are fantastic. I will definitely be returning soon. The Thai cuisine is exceptional, and the staff is friendly and attentive. The location is perfect.
Shame a lovely old pub turned into a Thai , not much of a choice of real ales only one, The land lady behind the bar couldn’t speak much English,such a shame we won’t return,
