I used to work there and remember it as a good place to go. Now, it is absolutely pathetic. The tables were filthy and sticky, and the green haired, nose-ringed waitress had an awful attitude when we asked to clean it. “It's not going to make a difference if we clean it”. It took forever to put our order in, must have waited over 20 minutes. The food was mediocre at best, and I could tell the fish had past expiration. After my car broke down (off highway 21), PLUMS turned my bad day UPSIDE DOWN!! The flounder po-boy is extraordinary, this place might quite in fact be one of the best Plum's I've ever dined at! ALSO, don't let the chips FOOL you! I was some rib-eyed turkey snout for thinking the potato chips wouldn't be good, but they were in fact good; in fact, better seasoned than the FRIES! Fries were an excellent consistency though, so you can't go wrong either choice! God belss!
Love the crab sandwich when you can get it. Arrived at 4:31 on Sunday afternoon when the close at 5pm and waiter/hostess said they sat the last table at 4:30. That’s just wrong when they advertise 5pm close. And she delivered the message with a bad attitude while playing in her phone and not looking up. Horrible. Just plain wrong. Hope the owner knows what they are doing.
Over all it was ok. We had the tuna salad sandwich, blue cheese crumble burger, and the shrimp po boy sandwich. The shrimp was so tough, the taste was good just over cooked i think. They are short staff in the kitchen we were told so maybe that was why. The waitress was nice and service was good. Food was out very fast!

When we visit Beaufort we always try to visit Plums for lunch. We prefer to sit outside so you have a good view of the waterfront. Excellent variety on the menu.
we had Miranda as our server who was so kind. we both had shrimp salad which was AMAZING. the view is great from the patio. perfect place for a light lunch!
