We've been coming here because it's the closest poke place near us. But I'm frustrated every time I come. Of all the poke shops I've been to, including California and Hawaii, Poki DC is the worst. The ingredients are ok, but it stops there. They give the smallest protein servings I've ever seen. For $15.45 you get two scoops. Each scoop is barely the size of the smallest ice cream scoop. It amounted to 6 little cubes of fish. Also the service is terrible. We had to stand there and wait after each step for them to finish working on takeout orders. I placed an online order and unfortunately, the person who prepared it included only one protein instead of the two I had requested. I tried calling the restaurant twice, but they didn't answer, and their voicemail was full, preventing me from leaving a message. There was no other way to contact them. My dining companion even went back to the restaurant—not something I wanted to do, as I thought it would be a waste of both time and gas—and it turned out to be just that. I ordered two bowls from here, one poke bowl with 3 scoops Poke and one salmon donburi for about $15-$16 each. The ratio of meat to rice is simply offensive, both bowls were 70% brown rice. Servers are snooty with the poke and sides like masago/seaweed. I noticed for the customer behind me they were giving them half-scoops of poke and avoiding to dump the whole scoop in the bowl. I can get a better poke bowl with just as much meat for $10 at Harris teeter.
Terrible service. Was just in for lunch and the person serving me gave me absolutely no toppings. The person serving someone else next to me had toppings loaded on his bowl. When they first opened, they made great bowls but as time as gone on, the quality of their service has gone down significantly. I used to go there all the time and now they've lost my business.

It seems that not all Poki DC locations are the same. They really need to learn how to peel the skin off the mango properly. Also, if you're going to charge extra for avocado, it should definitely be served ripe.
I got the shrimp tempura bowl which was great! I chose the zucchini noodles as a base and it was delicious. I went there yesterday, and I want to return again today lol, I might be addicted. Yum yum.
Never again. The fish was rotten. We could not even wait it. We ordered 4 bowls. The tuna you could not even eat. The rice was not cooked enough. The worker poke I have ever experienced.
I ordered takeout, and the food was ready right when they said it would be. It was absolutely delicious! I will definitely return, and I highly recommend it to others.
