I stopped by Campero this evening to grab some chicken to add to my salad from Shoppers Food grocery store. This was my third or fifth visit to this location, and I don’t recommend it if you're coming home from work. I ordered a 3-piece chicken meal, along with rice and a chicken empanada. When I got home—over on the other side of Laurel—I realized the empanada wasn’t in the bag. I’m tempted to drive back, but it’s been a long day at work, so I’ll pass. Unfortunately, I didn’t keep my receipt, so I’ll probably have to deal with the manager when I go back tomorrow evening to address the incomplete order. This is the second time my order has been wrong, and I’m done with this place. I know it’...

I'll start by making sure we're clear on this point: the food here is delicious. The chicken was savory and flavorful. The Campero Beans were cooked perfectly and tasted really good. The only issue I had with this location was the service and it was a mixed bag. The young lady who waited on me was pleasant enough. The young lady who bagged my food was a different story. She actually had an attitude with the fact that I asked her for a spoon for the beans I had purchased. I'm not sure how she expected me to eat them. I also noticed that some people seemed to come in after me, ordered after me, but got their food before me.
This pollo campero is the worst restaurant in Latin America history. They are always out of plantains and have discontinued the corn salad which is as the thing out of that place. They say they have an authentic taste and it?s not. I?ve been and tasted the very food fro the motherland and it does not taste the same. The customer is always horrible and have a bad attitude and they swear they have the best food. They forget that I am the customer smh. Will not be returning to that awful restaurant
I have visited this location a couple of times but I think this will be my last. Not to be dramatic but the food just wasn?t good. I won?t make the mistake of comparing the campero here to the one from the mother land but it?s just not good to start. First of all, when you open the chicken it was so greasy and under cooked on the inside. It was very lacking in flavor and just had an unsatisfactory texture. We threw it all away because it was not cooked thoroughly. Sorry but this was a miss. Book a table now
The customer service is excellent, with very nice and friendly staff. The food is quite fresh. While the seasoning didn't quite match our preferences, the overall quality of the food was still enjoyable. The chicken was well cooked but could have used a bit more seasoning. However, the coleslaw and plantains were fantastic.
The chicken is consistently good, but the service and management are quite lacking. It's frustrating that management can't seem to implement proper planning, resulting in long wait times of 15 to 30 minutes for what should be fast food. This is unacceptable. I really hope another franchise opens up in Laurel.
Everything tastes like it was brought straight from Central America, including the slaw. At other Pollos Camperos, the salad isn't made well and the flavor is different, but here it's spot on. And you definitely shouldn't miss the hibiscus juice!
Everyone I go here it?s a bad experience. Either they are out of food or you wait too long. Do I just went. They made me wait 30 minutes. While there were other people coming after me order after me and getting there food immediately. Book a table now
Staff is very nice and friendly. Food is very fresh. Seasoning is a little lacking for our taste but none the less the food is pretty good. The chicken was well made but lacked enough seasoning.
Not bad—better than the one in Downtown Disney! The only thing it's missing is a salad bar.
