Japanese fusion that is equally delicious whether you like American or Japanese cuisine and whether you eat meat or are vegetarian/vegan. The tofu tenders are the best fried tofu I've had outside Japan and the sides are fantastic whether it's French fries or Asian vegetables. Strong recommend. The only downside is it's a bit on the pricey side for casual.Vegetarian options: Tofu tenders are fantastic and there are multiple good vegetarian and vegan sides, as well as a vegan patty.
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. The chicken was as delicious as advertised and the fries were very tasty. I was pleased that they didn't skimp on the sauce. My only complaint is that I wish the portions were larger for the price, but the quality was still top-notch. I will definitely return to try other items, but the Ponko Chicken was especially fantastic. The Ponko rice bowl brunch meal was decent, but I would recommend sticking with the classic dishes.
This place is dangerous for how good these chicken tenders are. I live too close to it and I crave this all the time. My favorite is the chicken plate with the side salad and fries. The fries portion is more than perfect, and the walnut dressing for the salad is delicious. I always get the OG sauce for my chicken because if it?s sweetness but my boyfriend loves the bbq more. The restaurant itself is also great, plenty space and good atmosphere. The staff is very helpful.
Absolutely love the food, but not happy with the counter service. I ordered a meal online through Ritual but it wasn’t ready when I arrived on time. I ended up having to wait in the restaurant for ~20 mins for my food because the staff apparently hadn’t even seen my order. Online ordering needs to be reworked or give more accurate time estimates. Really nice staff with great customer service and good communication.I ordered the kamikaze fries, and they were SO GOOD. don’t put ketchup on them… it’d be a crime.The cole slaw and fried onions add enough sauce for the fries.The double battered fries are ultra crunchy and satisfying. The chicken was in a category all it’s own. So good.
My wife and I were on our honeymoon in Atlanta Midtown, and out of all the places that we could have chosen, we chose Ponko in Midtown.The staff were great and the food was amazing. My wife and I loved it alot. We are kind of sad that we do not have a Ponkos in Florida.10 out of 10, we would recommend this to everyone.
Used to be one of my favorite places and went every couple weeks, but it has gotten significantly worse over the course of the years. Chicken has halved in size, rice is always mushy. I also ordered on Uber eats, payed extra for three tacos, and was only given one. This happened twice. Fix your ordering.
First time trying Ponko chicken. Wow! Chicken tastes amazing. And service was great. Very friendly, attentive, and made my first visit very enjoyable. You don’t find much good customer service like this post pandemic. Very pleased and will be back. Book a table now
I ordered the 5-piece Ponko Chicken tenders with 2 sides (the potato salad was okay). They even gave me more than 5 chicken tenders! The original sauce that came with the chicken was delicious! I highly recommend this dish!
