The service at the restaurant was very poor and really made the dining experience disappointing. Staff were uninformed about the menu and after being told that the tapas would come out staggered we ended up with 12 dishes on our table (for 4 people) with literally no space for our plates. We were also told we could order more food once the tapas came out. Our waitress did not come to see us to take our second order before kitchen closed. In fact she disappeared and the other staff seemed disinterested in clearing our table and offering desserts. With so many quality restaurants to choose from in Brisbane I would not recommend Rico.
The food was tasty and well priced. One of our waiters was terrific, friendly and knowledgeable. One disappointment was that 4 of us were on a table which really was only suitable for 2. So sharing dishes was difficult! I admit this is one of my pet hates 4 of you are spending twice that of 2 so you should be given adequate space. Particularly in a place like Rico which promotes and encourages plate sharing.
I've lived in Brisbane for 2 years and hands down the best restaurant I've been to. The steak was the best I've had in Brisbane and value for money to boot!! Will recommend to anyone that will listen lol
