Food was definitely above average and I would fo sho eat there again! Lots of TV's and friendly people all around. Lots of memorabilia on the walls and hanging from the ceiling. Our waiter was really good too! I ordered the Lobster'Boy with the mac cheese as my side. The sandwich was really, really good, BUT the mac cheese was Kraft. I was expecting the larger macaroni used in homemade m c but I got Kraft. Maybe that's normal for Chicago as I am in no way an expert in any capacity on regional foods. There are other sides options available as well. The fried pickles and lobster bite appetizers were awesome. I'd give their margarita a B+ and the Jack and Cokes an A+
A co-worker recommended Poor Phil's because I was looking for Cajun/New Orleans style cooking. She recently had enjoyed the Gumbo there. So I made my way out to Oak Park to check it out. I ordered Jambalaya (to go). Servings were ample and delicious. While I waited for dinner to go, I ordered a glass (carafe) of red wine, which hit the spot with with the $2 happy hour BBQ Shrimp . Not the big fat shrimp I'm used to in New Orleans but enjoyed it all, although next time I would ask for more horseradish on the side for the dip. I'm looking to return in the spring to sit on the inviting patio with my wife, and likely some friends!
I came to this restaurant for lunch and was very disappointed. The service was non-existent and terrible. The waitress never came back after taking our order, so we had to ask two other servers and wait 25 minutes to get drink refills and a side of ranch. As for the food, I ordered the buffalo chicken po'boy and it was the worst sandwich I have ever had. There was no chicken, just breading, and the buffalo sauce was sweet and sticky. For $19, this chicken sandwich was embarrassing. I cannot remember the last time I had such terrible food and service at a restaurant. I would recommend steering clear of this place.
My wife and I have been frequent customers over the last few years. I was just thinking last night how great the waitstaff are. I can't think of a time when we weren't greeted with smiles and kindness. Their staff always seem eager to help and recommenditems, ask questions when they're not sure, and make sure we're doing okay with drinks and food. I'm sure staffing these days isvery challenging for for all restaurants, but they're doing a great job. Great draught beer selection. If you like and OldFashioned, try their Harvest Maple.

Oh Mamma mia! I am a chef! And this MurphyBurger is to die for! Simple! Just a good crispy burger patty with sesami ban wormed at the right texture and temperature! Mayo gives umami flavor! Don’t take it off! For an extra touch of acidity I ordered spinach deep which was also very delizioso! And BTW…Jordan, the bartender gives a beautiful sense of hospitality and service! Buon Appetito
I am visiting from England and I wanted to watch the Liverpool football match so I came in on the off chance they would be able to show it, which they did on request which was fantastic. I had a burger and beers, all of which were so nice, as were the staff. I'll definitely be stopping by for a drink again if I have time before I leave Chicago!
Cool place to chill and have dinner inside or outside dining. Plenty of beer choices and don’t forget to look up at the beer taps! Sea food is pretty good for a sports bar. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would go back. Just my opinion, you’ll have to be the best judge. Please like if this review helps you decide what to do. Enjoy.
Wonderful pub style place with friendly staff. The tempura shrimp basket is wonderful! The fries are so-so as I like either crinkle-cut or shoestring. But, they bring them out hot and they are tasty with ketchup.
