Some people just don’t seem to get it. At Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, the sauce portions are stingy, and the prices are too steep for what you get—greasy food with questionable taste. This chain used to serve great dishes, but lately, the quality has dropped. I tried the new blackened spiced chicken sandwich, and it was terrible; it seemed like it was fried in the same oil as fish and other items. The homemade mac and cheese was disappointing—honestly, a boxed version would be better. The new mashed potatoes were bland and completely lacking in flavor. Overall, the current menu at Popeyes leaves much to be desired.
I ordered a five-piece chicken tender meal yesterday and was told that sauces only come with meal combos. However, there is a sign that clearly states the sauces are meant for chicken tenders and nuggets. It doesn't make sense to include sauce with the meal but not with the chicken tenders themselves. I really don't need sauce for the drink or fries that come with the meal. It's quite frustrating how little common sense some people seem to have.
