As I so often do, I ordered the smashed avo, and was quite disappointed with the offering here. Instead of a lovely big pile of avo on my toast, it was quite a thin scrape, almost like the bread had been buttered' with the avo. In hindsight, I think perhaps it wasn't fresh avo that was used, but one of those pastes' from a tube you know how avo normally has green and yellow throughout? This was a consistent green colour, and no chunks at all, like it had been very well processed. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am. There were a few little crumbs of fetta and a sprinkle of dukka, and that was it for $15. I was very annoyed to see the same thing on the menu at...read more

There was a very lovely lady who served us at Poppy's today. She was incredibly cheery and very friendly, great experience on the customer service front. The menu isn't huge, however there's a good selection of sandwiches, wraps and rolls. The chicken burger is sooo good. Love the slaw and fresh beetroot, and their mayo is great (not sure if house made or commercial, but haven't had any like it before). Great place! Oh, and pretty good chips.

a very fast stop in canberra to visit the memory of the war next door. we had the rinderburger and blackworm. the burgers and chips were very fresh and tasty. large portion sizes. the black sausage roll was also delicious and quite large. the only one was the service. the personal seemed not happy at all and it was a last to take over our order. this is the caffe from the back of the Australian war memorial. it is surprisingly large with good indoor and outdoor areas. it started today and that's uneasy. it is anzac day eve. the service was ok. the coffee here was just acceptable. it is an average experience best. it needs a lift to go to the next level.
a great caffe next to the memory of the war. modern fit with comfortable seating, great service and eating and a pleasant atmosphere. music in the background that was not loud, so they can talk. armed services remind and photos around the caffe and video screens of the diekmal.

Beautiful interior design. I love the unique chairs. The kids meals are quite large, and the soup of the day is a good price at $10. Most other things on the menu are pricey. Their iced coffee is delicious! Book a table now
Lovely canteen style cafe to have a break at the war memorial We enjoyed our food - combination of rolls, chips, salad and soup. No complaints from our table and the service was efficient.

"I recently visited Canberra for the first time and tried Dosa Hut for the first time. I must say, we had the best curry and chicken fried rice here. The flavors were amazing and absolutely delicious."

"Comfortable, clean, attentive service. The portions can be inconsistent. I ordered the Avocado bruschetta, unfortunately it was drowning in a heavy balsamic thickened sauce which totally overpowered the delicate flavor of the avocado"
