Most concerning, my son ordered the Angel Hair Primavera with chicken and became seriously ill after eating it; he didn’t even finish the dish! His symptoms strongly indicated food poisoning, and as I'm writing this, he is still experiencing severe cramping. When I contacted the restaurant to suggest they dispose of the sauce, the woman I spoke with stated that it was made the previous night and implied that my son might have simply come down with a stomach virus. She also mentioned that four customers at the bar had the same sauce without issues. Poppy's Place is truly one of the best traditional restaurants around. It's cozy and intimate, providing a personal touch in the service. The meatballs taste as if they came straight from your grandmother's kitchen in Sicily, and the pork chops are thick, perfectly seasoned, and delightful. The rice balls make for a fantastic appetizer. We've been dining here for years and have never had a bad meal! This restaurant is one of my personal favorites, and I'm confident it will become a favorite of yours too! Cheers to Anne, Chris, and the entire team!
I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant! The food was delicious, the prices were very reasonable, and our waitress was friendly. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan hero, which was fantastic. My dining companions also enjoyed their meals. I highly recommend this place and would love to return. It has a cozy, neighborhood vibe, perfect for a casual outing—no need to dress up. Next time, I might try their impressive dinner special with all the sides, especially when I'm really hungry. We dined in and had great service!

I recently dined here twice and unfortunately did not enjoy the food. During my first visit, the chef used an excessive amount of black pepper, but the meal was still somewhat acceptable. However, on my second visit, the food was simply not good at all. I found it quite disappointing. On a positive note, the staff were very friendly. Despite that, I wouldn't choose to return.
