We have been to Port Gamble Café several times over the last few years and have been generally happy with both the service and particularly with the Chef's efforts to bring high quality local food to Kitsap County. However, in this case we were disappointed. The service was not commiserate with the price of the meal the wait staff on this Friday night consisted of one person in the dining room who was rather nonchalant about the whole thing. Additionally the dishes I had (Roasted chicken for the entrée and an small Cesar Salad before) were both exceedingly salty. This really surprised me since I normally am either happy with the salt level or add a little. The meals the rest of our party of...

We ate here while visiting family in the area. We were 5 adults. David was our waiter and did a good job. I had the fish and chips made from Rock Fish, which was good, as was the tarter sauce. My husband had the PG burger, nice and spicy and good! My uncle had the bread pudding for dessert with a serving size that was about a fourth of an entire 4 layer cake. HUGE and he had that for dessert 2 nights hence. My husband had the 4 layer chocolate cake, which he liked, but refridgerated cake is not to my liking. This is a very small place of just a couple tables mainly built for 4 people, several tables for 2 and only 1 table that holds 6. They also have a bar that serves a happy hour menu as we...

We've been coming here since they've started serving dinner. We love the space, the wait staff and the energy. When there was a change of chef the then chef went to open a new space down the road the food quality started suffering now on our most recent visit the menu was mainly sandwiches and burgers w/just a couple of other entrée selections. it is disappointing and we probably wont be back until they figure out their chef situation and menu.

We always enjoy dining at the café and hope that you will be there for a LONG time. We are never disappointed when we dine with you. Keep up the great work. You are a diamond for the North Kitsap area and will remain as the #1 dining spot in Kitsap county for us.
