We've been regular visitors and have enjoyed the cod. This time the cod was rubbery and disgusting. We ate inside so were able to complain. The shop owner immediately commented he wasn't sure about the cod when cooking and happily replaced all portions with butterfish. Why didn't he say that in the first instance, perhaps hoping we were taking the food away and unlikely to come back. The biggest disappointment is the poor customer service. This seems to be a very regular occurrence, please just smile and treat customers with happiness. I dont intend on returning for a long while. Hence disappointed.

We read the mixed reviews, and listened to our hosts recommendations and thought we would try it anyway ... don't know what some folks were complaining about and don't know what some folks where raving about ... we found it a good old fashioned fish and chip shop, quite busy though ... prices seem on par with other fish and chip shops we have been to in Aussie, but dearer when compared to ones at home ... still worth going to though ...

I tried the fish and chips from this restaurant despite hearing mixed reviews. The fish was delicious, fresh, and the batter was very crispy. Typically, I find chips from fish shops to be too salty, but these could have used a bit more salt. The banana fritter was well-prepared, and the portion size was large and very crispy. Overall, it was good value for money and a great way to finish off a day at the beach.

Great old fashioned food with real chip's...not those frozen thing's. The fish was fresh and tasty, the best chip's and potato fritter's crispy and moist. Good work we will be back, and so will our family and friends....

Go here for the best fish'n'chips on the south side of Adelaide. Always friendly and helpful people and the best, fresh fish with proper hand cut chips. Love it
