hard to find, but good to find it. you have to trust yourself through the tor and the stairs. so one could say about the local- actually a restaurant- in the 1st floor (above "come sempre)". a large space with a rustic, convenient facility and certainly typical Portuguese ambiente. the food is hand-resistant, the focus is on fish dishes. before eating, tastefully good olives and delicious bread are served. as a lunch table there are meat and fish dishes. the dishes are made fresh and if the offer is out, there is also a simple alternative. I don't think it's going to happen here, but I'm glad.
very special place: 1st floor of a 130 year old house (German imperial style - william 2). offers space for a Portuguese sports and cultural association. eating is typical Portuguese, as you can find in a family restaurant in alcantara (old harbour area of lissabon). it is delicious, but of course not "haute cuisine!" in any case a place where you can come back!

The place looks like it's a social club for Portuguese people. A great barn of a place, with all possible football trophies and memories everywhere. If you want elegant food, this is not for you. But if you want authentic Portuguese cuisine, especially fish, as well as carafes of great quality, but cheap wines, then don't look further.
