We tried this place after not returning for two years due to poor service. We decided to try again to see if something has improved, nope! We waited 45 minutes for eggs and the girl forgot my toast. I had to ask her twice. A nearby customer saw my frustration and told the waitress to not forget my toast after receiving her coffee. The same nearby customer said, We know the service is terrible, but we like the food. However, we always leave super frustrated! When I did receive my toast, 15 minutes later, it was not even toasted. The waitress also responded with yeah to customer requests, was sloppy, and disorganized. A hole in the wall with very good food. First time here, next to a pretty river but without any views. I had crabcakes benedict which was fabulous! I alwys have my english muffin on the side. Also, the homefries are just cubed potatoes. Nothing to remark about as they were unremarkable. Not a quality muffin at all, but the review is truly about the main ingredients of the meal. Good homemade unsweetened iced tea. The person I was with had some sort of omelet that had sausage in it. He had eaten there many times before and always enjoyed it. I would go back there in a heart beat. Our server was an awesome woman who has been working there forever. Kudos to her :
This is the perfect local spot for some great Sunday breakfast. Everyone working was super friendly and our waitress Jean was the cutest and sweetest! Definitely take her suggestions! My beau took Jean 's advice and ordered the homemade biscuits and gravy with over easy eggs with wheat toast. Boy! He didn 't regret listening to her... she of course told him twice, told ya! to which we all laughed and other patrons chuckled. I ordered their Taylor ham egg and cheese with a side of home fries and wasn 't at all disappointed. The entire bill was about $25. We will be back... I am ordered the biscuits and gravy next time!
This is the perfect place to bring a group of 10-15 friends for a nice dinner. There is a private room that is stupid cozy (feels like a vermont getaway) and seats a small group like a BOSS. The room is complete with vintage furniture, wallpaper and of course a potbelly stove. We went with three couples and kiddos and had a really great night enjoying the food (lots of good seafood options). Some highlights were the steamed clams, sugar salmon and the parmesan scallops. The bill did not break the bank and it is BYOB. I would definitely go back next time I have a group this size.
