You'd have to call this cafe pretty quirky, with its cafe menu by day and Chinese hot-pot by night, in what was a small plant nursery. Tonight I tried the deluxe version of their hot-pot, the all you can eat buffet for $31 each, as part of a group of 4. Each of us had a metho-powered burner with a simmering soup, either chicken, pork bone or spicy broth, in which we cooked a shared range of thinly sliced meats, seafood, mushrooms, veg, tofu and noodles. There were several dipping sauces and we finished up drinking the enriched and delicious soup.We probably didn't need the whole $31 open option, and next time will choose just a selection from the menu. But now we know our favourites and unde...

When I arranged to catch the train to Eastwood to meet a friend for a café lunch, I thought I'd re-visit the Provence as it's handy to the railway station and shopping mall and I was interested to see how it was going. I found it much as before. The setting and most of the furniture are 'rustic', as an earlier reviewer says. Unfortunately the garden remnants fringing the space are not very well cared for. (There is a fake potplant beside the cash register!) The meals are reasonable in quality and price. I noticed a number of patrons were men on their own, some of them tradies, others with luggage; evidently it's a readily accessible and low-key spot if you're after a takeaway coffee or toast...
Came here for brunch with my friends. It is a lovely, serene setting nice for friends and family despite being next the train station. It's nicely decorated with lots of plants and bonsais. The food and prices are quite decent I ordered the chicken burger (so juicy) which came with a decent serving side of chips cooked very nicely. My friends ordered the mushroom omelete, the eggs benedict and the maple syrup crepes which all looked good. The service was friendly and overall had a lovely time!
I'm going off this café since my most visit with friends who live in Eastwood. My salad sandwich ($6) was a white bread sanger cut into triangles as if for a child and served on a hot plate. When heavy rain came down there was no escape from getting damp even after the Perspex blinds were let down. Roofs leaked and a non-existent downpipe meant water was pouring freely from the roof of the food prep room. None of this is up to the standards we expect in an affluent suburb. Book a table now
This is a nice little cafe with a lot of potted plants and a small pond. I love this place for a coffee when it is not hot as the outdoor atmosphere is much better than the indoor one although it has indoor air conditioning. I usually go there with friends for a coffee. I think the coffee is reasonable but I love the environment. Service: 6/10 Ambiance: 7/10 Value for money (coffee) : 8/10
I stumbled upon this little garden Cafe. This reminds me of cafes and restaurants in Kathmandu or Sauraha or Pokhara (in Nepal). Seatings in an open fair, outdoor garden- peaceful!Greeat location, friendly staff, great coffee, tasty food, and great value for money. This will definitely be my weekend hotspot.
One word for this place.........RUBBISH......... Staff were rude and when asked to talk to the manager/ owner,he ran away.Don't waste your time here, there are much better places in Eastwood.
Great little cafe with a relaxed garden setting. Staff are very friendly and service is very prompt. Sandwiches are tasty and good value for $. Book a table now
Relaxed and cosy ambience. Decent food and large servings. Keen and polite waiters. An unassuming, chill place for hot pot or cafe food.....
