This is a nice place, it's mixture of two cultures that share Mayan ancestry. They made a bean and Loroco pupusa for my husband and they didn't even express how weird that was. They made it for him! Their green salad wasn't just lettuce either, it had cucumbers, romaine, sprinkle of spinach and other I asked for dressing on the side. Next time I'll try their Pupusas with rice flour, Ensalada drink is a must try. I can't wait to go back!
I ordered from Pueblo Viejo for the first time, and I have to say I was quite disappointed. The chicharrón was very hard and seemed old, and the cassava was just as unappetizing. Honestly, this was my first and last time ordering from there. I think I’ll stick with Cantorarito restaurant instead.
The molcajete is a must-try! My amazing girlfriend Lilly and I ordered it, and we were thoroughly impressed! Make sure to also order the pupusas – they’re the best in town! Rosalia was incredibly polite and sweet, providing great service with perfect timing. We will definitely be back!

Please work on getting the pupusas right, they were too doughy and thick the edges had no filling and just looked weird. What happened? The pupusas were so much better!
Above average food and service most of the time. I personally know the owner who always tries his best to make sure the customers are satisfied.
My daughter and I weren't impressed with the pupusas; they had more dough than filling, especially considering their price.
