"Good to have another Malaysian in an area that doesn't have any. Solid range of Malaysian fare; best hainan chicken rice anywhere; the rice flavoursome & chicken tender but portion of chicken is very small for a hefty $13.9. Rendang & rice dish was good but again serving size is small with nothing else. The better value meals are before 5pm meal & drink specials."

Rasa Delights has a pretty solid Malaysian menu with some Hong Kong type dishes as well. We ended up ordering the Har Mee, Hainan Chicken Laksa, Deep Fried Hainan Rice Balls, Kaya Toast and Sago Pudding. We also ordered hot Teh Tarik & Kopi Tarik as it was a very chilly night. The Har Mee had good flavour but wasn't perfect. The prawns were cooked well but the pork was a little bit tougher than other har mees I have had. The Hainan Chicken Laksa was lovely, the Hainan Chicken itself was pretty decent and the laksa had a sweetness and creaminess which I haven't come across from many Malaysian laksas in Sydney. We thought we'd try something different and order the Deep Fried Hainan Rice...

I really wanted to like Rasa delicacies, but unfortunately it was quite average. In fact, the Sambal Soft Shell crab must be one of the worst soft shell crab I've ever had. Too much dough? Not sure what was going on, but also really muddy and overly greasy, and I felt pretty greasy afterwards. The Laksa was better, but not to the point he will withdraw me. And nothing was sharp. I thought 3 Chili symbols would guarantee a super spicy explosion next to the court name, but this was not the case. The staff was really nice.

Hidden among many Korean restaurants is a nice little Malay / Hong Kong gem in Eastwood. It is not too spectacular, but it is not too shabby. We ordered a lot for two people and were definitely shocked expressions of the staff. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food and would definitely come back when I lived in the area. Her Eggettes and the roast beef with roti were the highlights for me.

We had great hopes for their characteristic Hainan chicken rice when it came out, the dishes looked good, but the taste was a bit disappointing. It was very average. We also tried her Hainan chicken chicken with dried noodles. The chicken was not roasted, it was actually fried and tasted really dried. The soups, who came with our chicken dishes, were very fad. Grief The service was friendly.
