I agree with the previous reviewer that Lunenburg is a food desert for vegans. Despite the surfeit of listings indicating vegan options for this town, it 's really not true. Rascals Run to the rescue. This is a laid back Tex-Mex styled eatery with a bit of a surf-punk vibe, Day of the Dead decor on the tables and a surfboard at the door. The large chalkboard menu lists two vegan burritos. I had the black bean house specialty in a gluten-free soft shell, and it was excellent. The service was fast, and thoughtful, and the meal felt like good value. The only thing missing from the menu is coffee of any kind.
Great burritos and friendly and helpful service. The El Jefe (bbq beef) Bandida (pork) burritos were good portion and delicious. 10 and 12 burritos are reasonably priced at $11 $13 respectively.Burritos held together until the last bite and did not fall apart!There are a few tables and counter seating on site or take your burritos across the street to the waterfront where there are plenty of tables and chairs and unmatched views!There are two beers on tap but it has to be consumed on the premises.
Super busy, so we had to wait a bit for our food. Had the beef burritos and pork burrito bowls very good! Fresh, great flavour toppings. Edit after seeing the response I'm sorry, I didn't mean the wait as a negative, just as a note to others that it's so good it will be busy. We really enjoyed our meal there.
I love tacos and they make tacos, so they're gonna get a pretty good rating. Hopefully you'll be lucky enough to go on a day when they have their green salsa, which is fanatastic. TACOS!
