I agree with the previous reviewer that Lunenburg is a food desert for vegans. Despite the surfing of lists with vegan options for this city, it is really not true. Rascals are going to rescue. This is a covered Tex-Mex-style dining with a bit of a surf punk vibe, day of the dead decor on the tables and a surfboard at the door. The big chalkboard menu lists two vegan burritos. I had the black bean house speciality in a gluten-free soft bowl, and it was excellent. The service was fast and thoughtful, and the meal felt like a good value. The only thing missing in the menu is coffee of any kind.
I really appreciated my meal here because it was really good and also because it is so hard to find everything vegan in NS. You have two basic options for vegans any option can be made in a bowl, or a 10 or 12 inch burrito. I think they also had a GF option, but not sure.
Menu has changed since I was last there, but I look forward to trying their latest vegan burrito! I’ve gone several times and it’s always been delicious. Love that you can order online in advance. A great new addition to the south shore!
