I visited this restaurant with some colleagues for a Christmas party and although I thought it was little expensive, I would recommend it. they have a beautiful bar with a great selection of drinks and cocktails. the menu offers a large selection of international and local hamburgers like for example lebskaus. the personal speaks excellent English (as almost everyone in hamburg) and is pleasant and attentive. I recommend the steak and the hot chocolate!
if they feel somewhat overwhelmed by the hamburg city, they go to the rathauspassage at the entrance of the Metro Station. this is a project of the Lutheran Church and includes a low price caffe and restaurant, a fair trade store, a well-stocked second-hand bookshop and tourist information. a welcome break from the fashionable streets above the earth.
the first time, we just went to the bar for a drink. attractive building with a lot of atmosphere, supported by a rather dark lighting. two nights later we went to dinner. the place was full, the service pleasant and flink without rushing it. I had gans and my man french fish. nothing outstanding, but quite good. prices reasonable.

a beautiful and busy place worth a visit. it is one of the tourist bus stops. do not take the bus without a translator who drives with a live guide, speaks only German!
