OMG. Breakfast burritos was just awful! I have been wanting to go Raymond’s for their fabulous breakfast burritos. I had them many times and every time I had it, i love it! I haven’t been able to go there since the pandemic. Today I finally went and got it. I can’t believe it was just AWFUL, horrible, below average. Rice was not cooked right dry and not tasty, burritos was grilled or something, pork was not tasty scrambled egg was all right. What a disappointment! Hope that they get their cook back or get the recipe. I hope that the owner or the management tastes what they serve their customers. Disappointed customers!
This restaurant is a mystery... Nobody knows who owns it or how it operates so smoothly, but it's a hidden gem in Montclair. The breakfast here is amazing! I've tried almost everything on the menu, from the steak and eggs to the pancakes, but the standout item is definitely the hot chocolate. It comes with a huge marshmallow cube that melts slowly in the piping hot drink. Their lunch options are also fantastic, with delicious Cobb salads and southern fried chicken accompanied by the most incredible macaroni and cheese. If you haven't been here yet, this is your sign to check it out!
Raymond's has been a beloved fixture in Montclair for many years! Despite the challenge of finding street parking in the area, loyal customers continue to return. The staff is wonderful and attentive, making sure all your needs are met. The restaurant is consistently busy, a testament to its popularity. While they are famous for their French Toast, which I always enjoy, I decided to try the Eggs Norwegian on my most recent visit. This dish, similar to Eggs Benedict but with smoked salmon instead of meat, was absolutely delicious and I savored every bite.
This is my umpteenth visit. I brought a friend visiting from London jonesing for a burger. My salad was terrific and he was in burger heaven. The added touch for him was practicing Spanish with our server who was uber friendly. Thanks for making our day lovely with delicious food. Book a table now
The hot chocolate is delicious, and the steak entree is very tasty! The chicken was also very good. This restaurant is a fun place to visit, with excellent service and staff who are constantly cleaning. Definitely worth a visit!
The Steak and Eggs and the Cobb Salad were very good. Retro diner, nice coffee service with proper cups and pot, very nice spot for breakfast or brunch in Montclair, but it is very popular!
Very fresh and tasty food. Not a lot of wait time. Great service. Sidewalk seating as well as indoor seating is available. Definitely visit if you're in the area!! Try the Mexican bowl!
Busy place with food that tends to be hit or miss. Inconsistent quality for the most part. However, on a good day it does hit the spot. If you decide to try it, go early. Book a table now
We were seated immediately upon arrival. The food was great. The mac cheese is 5 out of 5. We all enjoyed our meals.
