Horrible dinner experience at Red Horse in Rumson. Service was slow and terrible. Food quality was poor. Starting off the Cabernet bottle of wine was ice cold! Not room temperature. We ordered steaks and after waiting a long time they came to the table with the wrong order. So we had to wait for the steaks to get cooked. Both my wife’s filet mignon was rare instead of medium rare and cold as was my rib eye. Almost roar instead of medium rare and cold. Also the quality of the ribeye sucked it was very tough. My boyfriend and I decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day at this restaurant, and it was a complete disaster. We understood it was a holiday, but that shouldn’t have affected the quality of service as much as it did. My boyfriend ordered a glass of wine to go with dinner, and after waiting 20 minutes, it still never showed up. The waiter said the bartender was "bugging out”, but honestly, I can 't understand how pouring a glass of wine could take that long. The service was very slow, even just to get our drinks and appetizers. Dinner seemed to take forever. Then when it came the food was average. We were also frustrated by how many items on the menu were not available when we ordered. We ate there before and had a better experience. This time, we were disappointed.

As a returning customer to Red Horse and a regular at other David Burke restaurants, we were so disappointed in our Valentine’s Dinner. Too many things to list but when the clothesline bacon is straight up cold, you know it’s off.
