the day in solothurn, the meeting of the friends, was early decided to meet this bar and watch some game between the Swiss w wales. the service was fast and I tried some of the local oufi beer that was cold and looked good to be. I would say I'm not a fan of the bright lager, just a bit too sweet for me. Not many were in the search for the game that was just as good as it wasn't good to watch. outside enjoying the midday sun. had a crazy Irish man so had the talk about more beer for a good time. a thing that was annoying. one of the barmen, I should say, young one who served me all day, and was polite when his layer was just finished (unknownst to me,) I wanted to ask him to pint another. hi...

I don't like Irish bars in the country, but red john is a little jewel! it is welcoming and friendly without going over the top. the location, right at the river is beautiful, especially in the summer months, where it is a great place to relax and have a drink. if they are looking for a decent place for a drink amdayne a bot of chat in solothurn, they can make much worse! p.s they also show the same of the six nations rugby games with English comment that is great.

I never stepped foot inside. It was a nice night so we sat outside. But the server who took care of us was friendly and we never seemed to wait very long. The beer was beer and the whiskey went down easy. I'd come back...here.

the atmosphere is like in a real Irish pub. beautiful drinks, nince food at the limit of the river aare.
