3/10/22 order food from here for the first time. I ordered the remix hot chicken plate. coleslaw was okay. reis was okay. but the chicken tastes just burned. that's not worth $16. ?3/11/22 edit: so after going and always another plate of the same thing, I can confirm that this taste much better. the parts were better, and the huh was not burned at all. I also decided to make kartoffelmac instead of the koleslaw and honestly prefer the kartoffelmac. I love pretty much everything about this restaurant. If you haven't eaten here yet, you're missing out. Whether you go with loco moco or ramen or any other option, it's going to be good and probably even amazing. They also offer specials to try out new dishes. The owner is always experimenting. At the end of the day, this place sells comfort food, and it's hard to beat. Kid-friendliness: The owner and his staff go out of the way to make your kids have a memorable experience. My three kids love it here.
The food here is incredible and never disappoints! We've been here a few times and today we've tried the spicy tuna with rice (which was amazing-very flavorful and slightly spicy! and the loco moco with brisket, which has The BEST gravy we've EVER had. The gentleman who served us today was also very kind and helpful. Would definitely recommend coming here! Parking is easy and it's in a medical plaza that's easily accessible.

Remix has the best ramen in Bakersfield, nobody compares to his regular and spicy broth. Some places fast cook the broth but Remix perfectionist chef takes the time to draw out the natural flavors. They are so worth it because I don't have to drive to Daikokuya Little Tokyo or Shin-Se(Downtown LA).
We absolutely adore this place! My boyfriend and I often come here after the gym and it never disappoints. The owners are incredibly sweet and welcoming. I always order the chicken katsu loco moco, it's a must-try dish! A true hidden gem in Bakersfield.
