Bareiss is a three star institution in Germany, like the other 3 in the same Black Forest city, Schwarzwaldstube. Our dinner at Bareiss was very good, but as a first comment, not quite on the same level as a diineer at Schwarzwaldstube in 2021. We took the menu degustation, a seven-speed menu that you need to navigate carefully without getting too much into the sourdough bread and the two butter options, otherwise you risk being too full. The apéro étagère consisted of four muse bouche, which were very good (but not as expensive as Christian Bau or Sonnora). the shells, the turbot and lamb (from a German producer in the Swabian Alb) stood out, the lamb was particularly excellent. communicated that I was a pesceter at the arrival as I did not want to cause too much annoying (to avoid a vegetarian home and generally other animal products). on the first night I was served as a main menu with pork and promised to get another menu next night. that didn't happen. I complained that it would be set right next night, which did not happen again. at this point I gave up most of the courses for the rest of the stay, which a canvas in a ridiculously expensive 5-star superior hotel with a highly praised kitchen.
This meal was probably the best meal we've ever eaten. Every single court was amazing and we could not wait for the next. The entire experience was amazing from the Amuse Bouche to the petit four. We are vegetarian and this is often a fight in such places, but not here. For dinner a 7-course menu, but for lunch they also make 3 or 4 courses.
this place offers enormous vegan meals. I have to try her tee to see how they brewed it for her. very cozy European interior. the owner, the chef, will shew after their meal.
