"very unfriendly owner and the place smells like cats. 1900 is too early for him to cook, and guests who do not speak fluently French were too angry for him. We left the place after a swallow of our drinks. So don't go there!"

I guess I ate in this restaurant at least once a year for about 15 years. the same owner/cook and also behind the bar. this is a very small quiet village. never busy and I prefer to eat in the bar to...a few local, traveling etc. they see the pictures in the local time. years ago, a group meet here on pilgrimage. tasty, well-prepared, provincial cuisine that is rarely cooked in france and served by the owner. admittedly he does not speak English (or claims to do this; , but will be slow to repeat menu when they ask. he has a pretty dry humor that my wife and her friend could listen openly. I swear, he actually smiled. many years ago he had a huge st. Bernard-Hund, who leaned against me when...

Alain58

we really enjoyed this visit. tiny village we selected with a pencil. Maybe that's why it was a little too quiet in the restaurant. five or six good choices for each cure, all freshly cooked and well presented. more friendly, but you have at least demanded a crushed French. we will go back and take friends. a drink before, a glass wee with each, and three courses for both of us.
