The hotel has two areas: two new buildings offering everything modern and cosy including a beautiful spa with total privacy and views on the alpine chain. The older part of the hotel is in the original hotel building which also has direct underground access to the spa. The hotel is the best location in Riederalp. Right above the meeting place for ski schools and trainer-ski lift one puts on the skis in front of the hotel door only to take them off there again at the end of the day. The food is also the best in town, specially the Neapolitan style pizzas at Boccalinos. we have eaten here two times very well at night. the rating is lower, however, because we were not really satisfied with the service. once the table was not clean, the operation seemed stressed. then it was also fitting that none of the 3 different serviers found the candle to light on the table. also on the second evening we did not find the service really friendly. Maybe we got a bad week. that we have seen the same place at the breakfast. the service was very friendly and helpful.
we were ending juli 2016 in alpenrose to desirous and had 1x pizze frutte the mare and once teigwaren putanesca. We drank a la segreta planeta from Sicily (2013) for 39.-The kitchen is excellent, the service friendly, the restaurant itself rather a canteen.If you do not need a very nice room, then you can recommend the restaurant.
the pizza was okey, but its price was absolutely not worth! despite telephone reservation and request was our table far away from the children corner! could be changed after several requests! when we got the bill we were surprised! it was too expensive!! the children's corner was beautiful!

Although a bit expensive, the pizza is very good, and if you sit outside that I even surrounded by snow, the view was spectacular. It is a great place for lunch, and there are many other Italian dishes.
as the pizzas have tasted so well on the first night, we have eaten again for the 2nd evening. what a pity was that terrace was not opened earlier.
the pizzas we can highly recommend, even pasta of the redstikeller offers a special atmosphere personal mostly friendly. prices are rather high
the food was not worth the price:1/2 poulet with pommes for 29,-. a boccalino merlot: 15,-. a small salad 12.- There is better!

Pizzeria Boccalino creates extra thin pizzas, just perfect, particular with kids. Great staff, very friendly.
