Been sick this past week. You know how it is. When you are sick you just want the familiar. So go to Rett's. There are few places with one barista, 6 days a week, 50 weeks of the year. It's only coffee, conversation and cheer you will get here. Apparently I am Rett's greatest success story: from non-coffee drinker to double espresso (see review of Elixr) in 6 years!

Take away your coffee or perch on one of the stools outside in the laneway. Coffee is all they sell. Large takeaway: $4.50. Many regulars and workers from nearby businesses line up for a chat over a coffee. It's a mini community and it's nice to see!

I wish I lived closer to Rett's. Not just for the great coffee but the fantastic company. If you want a chin wag with Rett and the locals this is your place to go.
