Although we camped in rudesheim, we went 20 minutes to the riverside route to discover nicos directly in front of the geisenheim campsite. the indoor and outdoor restaurant is available and we chose the partly covered terrace. we ate 3 steaks, 2 with mushrooms and 1 with the...House sauce plus a black steak cordon bleu (except with ham cheese). All beautifully boiled, generous portions and served with dressed byalate and chips. pleasant multilingual staff has easily finished with our German English! the terrace is on the rheinufer and we ate to see how the pfand died, while a full moon gradually rose and was reflected over the water. a beautiful start in our vacation here. A good Italian restaurant on the river Rhein.We had our dinner there a number of times when we visited the area.Food is good but lack wow-factor.Portions are of substantial size, and you always leave with the feeling of great value for your money.Wiew over the river is impecable, and the staff are friendly and helpfull.I find it strange that they only serve Italian wine. As they are located in the heart of the best German wine district, but there was nothing wrong with the Italian.Worth the hike from Rûdesheim if thats where you are staying.Will go back next time.

Die Pizzeria von Nico im Rheinpavillion direkt am Campingplatz in Geisenheim bietet neben tollen Pizzen!!!! einen Vielzahl von Nudelgerichten und natuerlich auch Fleischspeisen. Wir waren jetzt schon öfter hier und ich kann Guten Gewissens sagen das es hier eine der besten Pizzen im Rheingau gibt - vom Teig her. Leider sind die Pilze nicht frisch. Aber ansonsten gibt es hier wirklich sehr leckere Pizza. Die Fleischgerichte könnten besser sein - leider nur durschnittlich. Lage top direkt am Rhein.Besuch lohnt sich - aber dann Pizza essen :)
...und der anliegende Campingplatz ebenfalls nicht wüsste ich nicht warum ich da hin soll. Nacht 20 Minuten erhielten wir mal eine Speisekarte. Nach weiter 20 Minuten konnten wir bestellen. Kurzum nach knapp 2 Stunden sind wir rausgegangen und haben nur zwei Pizza's und zwei Bier konsumiert....
