Well forget Starbucks, because Rise Up Cafe is the place to be! This small cafe in Sarasota has a big mission that goes beyond just serving outstanding coffee. Their focus is on creating a sense of community and inclusivity. At Rise Up Cafe, they provide secure and successful jobs for their employees, allowing them to form meaningful friendships and live independently. Not only that, but working at Rise Up helps individuals improve their public speaking, develop self-advocacy and communication skills. So why settle for ordinary when you can experience something extraordinary at Rise Up Cafe?
We were thrilled and honored to make some new friends at this lovely cafe. The ice cream is made fresh in house and is amazing and highly recommended. If this isn’t reason enough to stop by, Rise Up is run by adults with developmental disabilities which is so wonderful. The entire staff was so welcoming and excited to meet my dog (yes, dog friendly as well! .
We each had ice cream. It was excellent and we especially love the concept of this place.
I'll be thinking of the Rise Up beignets for the rest of my life... they were that good!
